The District Disaster Management Department has officially launched the Youth Aapda Mitra Training Programme at Yuva Aawas, Dalhousie. This initiative is designed to empower local youth with vital skills necessary for effective response during emergencies and natural disasters.

District Revenue Officer Vikramjeet Singh, who served as the chief guest, highlighted the significance of community-driven disaster preparedness.


“Aapda Mitras represent the most crucial link in society during crises. Their partnership with the administration is essential for protecting lives and property,” he stated.

TCB Coordinator Sumit Gupta announced that the training will take place from October 26 to November 1, 2025, with 41 volunteers participating actively.
